Open website http://www.lamonnaise.com On the edge of Marais Poitevin (Green Venice), "La Monnaise" is situated in peaceful countryside amongst farms and tiny hamlets, just a few minutes drive from the beautiful village of Nieul sur l'Autize with its lovely old buildings, famous church and tree-lined square.
The two charming properties here have been carefully restored by the resident owner using traditional materials, including beautiful wood and terracotta tiles.
"Le Figuier" is a cosy retreat for two + a baby.
Le Noyer" offers character accommodation with a first floor living room with fireplace and wood burner for six persons.
Both properties: Electric heating. W/machine. Mini-oven/grill. TV. Cot and H/chair on request. Parking. Garden and dining furniture and sun-lounges. Barbecue. All linen for hire. Bed , chair for baby . The historic town of Fontenay-le-Comte, with its superb chateau, is only 15 minutes away, and there are many excellent day trip possibilities.
Location: 3km NE of Nieul sur l'Autize (shops, bar, restaurant), 15km SE of Fontenay le Comte (All facilities), 68km E of la Faute sur Mer (beaches)
